Is this dual monitor setup possible?

I have two monitors and two systems. I would like to run dual monitors on one computer, but also be able to switch to my other computer to use it for downloading/mp3s etc. Also, my desk space is limited, so if I could run everything with one keyboard/mouse, that would be ideal.

Is this at all possible?

Could I have a dual monitor display on one computer, then switch one monitor to view my other system, then switch back to dual monitor, etc? Would this require a KVM switch? Am I dreaming?

Use VNC or NetOP... you can contol teh other computer remtotely... it'll open up a window and it'll be the desktop of the other computer.

netmeeting also has this feature and winXP has it built in.

If you're after a hardware solution, you could always use a KVM box, but that wouldn't be free of course :frown:. Use your main/better monitor straight from it's video card. Use the 2nd vid card to feed the KVM box, feed the vid source on the 2nd PC to the KVM as well. Output the KVM to your second/worse monitor.

If you do look for a KVM have a look at this AT "hot deal".
