1680x1050 + 1280x1024 = lots of productivity.

i game on my 1680x1050 and do "secondary monitoring" on my other monitor

that's the same setup i wanna do. How's the pixel pitch difference though? Cause if the text is much smaller on the 1680x1050 monitor ..wouldn't that be weird on the eyes, moving back and forth between monitors?

AFAIK 20" and 17" have an almost identical pixel pitch, as do 22" and 19", so there isn't any real issue.

0.282mm 22"
0.294mm 19"

0.258mm 20"
0.264mm 17"

They're as close as you're likely to get, which is why they make good matches. I haven't noticed any issues with my 20/17 in terms of pixel pitch, and I wouldn't expect the 22/19 difference to be noticeable either.

yea, thats kind of why im' hesitant to get a 24in.. my 20.1in 1680x1050 would look weird next to it.

Pixel pitch of 24" is 0.270 while 20.1" is 0.258. So the difference is equal to that of 19" and 22".
Relatively, the difference is slightly larger due to the smaller pixels but it shouldn't be much of a problem.
