Is this DSL/Router setup possible on my LAN

My current setup:

- Two systems (P3 1ghz@1.33 and Celeron@950) running W2K Pro
- a 10/100 NIC in each system
- 5 port 10mbps hub completing the setup
- Alcatel DSL modem and connection on my main system

I have ICS setup on my main system and it seems to work fine. I gave up on XP because of the crappy networking/ICS sharing and re-installed W2K on both system. I have had no problems with ICS yet (knock on wood).

I am looking at getting a combination router/100mbps hub to upgrade my LAN speed and make my internet sharing completely hardware setup. However, my USB DSL modem does not have a ethernet connection nor any other output ports.

Is it even possible to setup ICS using a router/hardware only solution?

Well I dont know of any router that has a USB input. What I would do is call your ISP and tell them that your USB port went to crap and that you need a different modem so you can connect through a eathernet card.
Bleep

I use the Alcatel Speed Touch Home Modem. It has an ethernet interface and has the ability to be upgraded to the PRO model which has firewalling...Pinholing...etc... They go for about 75-100 bucks on ebay.

or since you have a hub already you don't need a router. Just connect your computers through network card with the hub. so you are on a LAN. and then buy a DSL modem with USB connection (my service provider gives it free) and connect it with one of the computers through USB port.
