It is funny how everyone assumes speeding is dangerous. Speeding is only dangerous when idiots do it and hurt others and themselves. (The idiots of the world running it for those of us who can drive, good thing too that seat belts help natural selection along). It can be equally if not more dangerous to go below the speed limit and the a burden to people who obey the rules.

There is also the fact that if you speed you are not on the road as long and there for it is less time for you have an accident.

I've also read that the speed limit is set at the median speed that actually drive at. Then on top of this the insurance companies pay for the radar guns for cops to use to pull people over. Thus, cheap radar guns + unrealistic speed limit = $$$ for towns and insurance companies.

Put it this way...I live in Tulsa, OK and I go down to Dallas, TX often, I figure if I can make it to Dallas which a little less than 300 miles in about 3 1/2 hours, you should be able to make 440 in less than 8hrs....

and I cant just drive 80 the whole way. also of it is crap roads and ones that go through towns and are highly watches by the popo

it's doable

I drove 320 miles in like 3 hours

220 is cake.

STICK TO MAJOR HIGH WAYS , GO WITH FLOW OF TRAFFIC, DONT BE THE LEAD CAR OR THE LAST CAR.

Good luck

BTW that was from NY - - - - - DC ;) it was more like 330 miles but I took short cuts.

My average speed was like 80-85 occaisonal 120's here 130's there depending on which parts of the highway.
Oh yea.. I passed several state troopers and under cover troopers going like 85+ they didn't do anything. Just don't brake~ if you see them. Just speed roll slow.
