6-year old Dell Inspiron 15634 touchscreen laptop wasn't ever dropped or its touch-screen used much but it has recently developed horizontal black lines. They are getting longer and thicker by the day. I googled this issue and there's no clear answer other than Dell support PM'ing users (not helpful Dell).

If I output to another monitor via HDMI there are no lines. Is this a common sign of a dying display? You can see them on the top left, top-middle left and bottom left.
