Hi, I have been thinking of getting a new computer for quite sometime now, but was unable to in previous years due to inadecuate funds....now I just got a new job that pays me a lot more(part-time, I'm 15). This is what I have down so far. I am open to any suggestions. I am a Canadian, so i will be listing the prices in both American and canadian currencies...

Pentium 4 2.66 gHz $394.95 ($270 US)
Gigabyte GA-8INXP $299.95 ($205 US)
Corsair 512MB TwinX PC2700 Low Latency Dual Channel Kit (2x256MB sticks) should I get one more of these kits? $239.95 ($163 US)
Atx Supercase 115 w/front usb (I need a case, and realize this one is just a placeholder for now....nothing flashy, just cool, as in cold)$30 and roughly $20 US
Enermax 460w Whisper Dual Fan $129.95 ($89 US)
Panasonic floppy drive $29.95 ($20 US)
2 x Western Digital 80GB Caviar 7200RPM ATA100 8MB Cache $154.95 each, $309.90 total ($105 US each, $210 total)
Ati Radeon 9500 Pro 128 MB 8xAGP $319.95 ($218 US)
Creative Soundblaster Audigy $104.95 ($72 US) (not sure if its worth an extra 75 US/120 CAD to get Audigy 2, please let me know)
ASUS 52x CD-Rom $50 ($34 US)
Samsung 955DF $324.95 ($221 US)
Total(not including mouse/keyboard)= $2619.68 ($1785 US)

Wow, those conversions took a while....Anyways...I need some pointers overall on anything you can give me, specifically the Case, CPU, Memory and Sound/vid cards.....Thx to anyone that replies in advance...might be gone for about 20 min here.....Ill be right back to check out the responses from you guys.....thx in advance....

If you really want it to be a good gaming rig upgrade that 9500 Pro to a 9700 Pro... the difference is pretty big.

You can save enough $ on other parts to afford one for $271 here:

http://www.googlegear.com/jsp/ProductDetail.jsp?ProductCode=320624-OP

It'll be worth it. Even downgrade the CPU or go AMD...

You can drop the Audigy card a save a lot if you went AMD with an nForce2 board with great onboard audio like A7N8X Deluxe's 6channel Soundstorm chip.

these prices are from the cheapest place in my area
www.memoryexpress.com
www.techtronics.ca (for the radeon 9500 and audigy card)

I figured that I wouldnt save much because of shipping charges from US to Canada....If they arent too bad for newegg just let me know....wow, for some reason the radeon 9700 pro is over 600 up here....pretty amazing it's only 271 US or 400 CAD.....I guess Ill check it out

oh ya, what pay methods are their for newegg?

Damn! You're 15 and funding a rig like that on your own?!?!? :Q

When I was 15, I was digging change out of seat cushions for a 6-pack of Mickeys!:confused::beer:
But then again, I didn't have a job.

Anyways, sounds like your options are limited but the parts you did your homework on all look reasonably priced. I'd say go for it.
