is this card good?

Powercolor gets pretty hot during overclock(Sickbeast did dome tests with his card,I am too lazy to link that for u 😛).I never ever recommend xfx to anyone after my bitter experience with them.So I stick by my decision 😀 At stock clocks 7850~570,but once oced it will sail past the 570.The card I linked to is already modestly oced making it better than a 570.

Sorry, not here to answer your original query of which card to buy but rather to ask you a simple question: why do you think those 570s have such large sale / reduction?

Maybe because 40nm is nearing its end of life soon and there's stock to shifted?
 
7850 2GB has the same stock performance as 570, uses half the power, overclocks twice as well, has a better cooler and makes less noise, has more VRAM, supports DX11.1, looks better, smells better, makes you coffee...

I can't understand the value of "Overclocking" when it is not how the card comes from the factory and what you are paying for unless you buy an factory OCed one from the likes of say Msi and there HAWK edition otherwise OCing is asking for trouble.

7850 is under the stock performance of a GTX 570 by a little and even just a bit under the GTX 480 all cards @ stock.
 
are the OC capabilities and results of 7850 guaranteed? I've heard good things about 7850 but I've never OCed anything before, i dont wanna void my warranty on something if i'm not sure about the results lol.

No they are hit and miss. If you get a good sample then you might get high OCing results but anyway you look at it you will still be voiding your warranty and potentially "Bricking" your card when attempting to do OCing even if you are pro at it and do it right.
 
I think Gordon will tell you anything to avoid buying a 7850... I think he hates them D:

Check the 7850 overclocking thread here, I think almost all of them have gotten good results. Why buy a 480/570 when even a slight bump to 7850 will match them? Not to mention MUCH better overclocking potential, cooling, temperatures, and the added benefit of 2GB VRAM?

1100 core is pretty much guaranteed

Still would take an "EVGA GTX 560 Ti 448 Classy Ultra" over any 7850/7870/570/480 but I would take a 7950/7970 over anything else and that includes the 670/680.

Not at all I just don't enjoy OCing when the card was not Designed, Warranted, and Engineered for it but the 7970 is my favorite card right now today in fact I am more of an AMD fan than Nvidia but I just like EVGA a lot and they don't make Radeon's mate.
 
Radeon 7850 is the best card to buy right now if not going top end. I'd already own one if I didn't have my mind set on waiting for it to get closer to 6850 MSRP ($180)
 
Some company warranties cover overclocking with various restrictions (i.e. they don't want to replace cards that have been abused).

Love how this Mantra is still going on about this card. Are we talking about OCing Editions of the 7850 ? That being said if the 7850 was designed as a proper good OCing board it would have a full sized PCB and another 6pin like it bigger brother/s but the fact is the 7850 is a purely MID range card so don't expect miraculous things from it.

Probably the best mid-range board currently available, actually.
 
MSI for example will warranty software overclocking as long as the bios is unmodified.
