Mass production is not the issue!! The issue is -- is the cap worth the asking price of $100? The answer is - the cap is worth whatever somebody is willing to pay for it!!
If you don`t want to pay $100 then don`t! Nobody is forcing you to buy that cap!!
The OP has no links to those caps! He is just speculating without links how are we to know if those caps are made one at a time by hand or mass produced?
Sure you can go online and find a comparable cap! But that still does not address whether it was made by hand or mass produced! Or for that matter who made that cap!
So the answer still is -- whatever somebody will pay for that cap!!

$20 is far more reasonable. Anything priced at ~$100 to ~$200+ better be hand made out silk or some other expensive fiber...🙄
