The test shows it performing well, but I notice its memory 'standard' in the product info is 667 instead of 800 by other boards...

Is this a wise purchase for upcoming Conroe or not? I want to have my computer built and ready to go, minus the cpu and vid card, for when the time comes... And I would love to stick with an nforce board if possible but I have no other insight to this board other than this anandtech review.

I didn't think that any current motherboards would be compatible with conroe. Is this not the case? What kind of socket does conroe have?

i thought conroe compatible motherboards weren't out yet, either. even if they are out, why are you buying the parts for something that still has months before it comes out? they'll be cheaper at the time of purchase or conroe

I'm under the impression Conroe is lg775 and uses the 955 and 975x chipsets, and better chipsets that arrive between now and then...

Perhaps someone can correct this

Not all LGA775 chips are compatible with all LGA775 motherboards, so the fact that it's the same socket doesn't mean much unfortunatly. One Intel board with the most recent revision will supposedly support it like somebody mentioned already, but basicly if you really want guranteed Conroe support, you just gotta wait till it comes out.
