My current contract ends on 2/9 (tomorrow!) but the billing cycle ends on 2/7 (yesterday). Anyway, being a nice guy as I am ;) I tell them to terminate my service on 2/9, and pro-rate the extra 2 days. Guess what? The CSR got pissed or something and told me I can't terminate the service until another billing cycle!!! WTF is that! Should I call another CSR?

try... its weird that your contract sign date was after the date you got your service plan... usually its the same day!

You should be able to terminate it at anytime however if your cycle starts a day before it ends you'll have to pay for your entire cycle.

SOMETIMES if you get a nice retnetion rep they will waive the last months fees. I'm guessing you didn't get a nice rep.

Wow, just got off the phone with AT&T, they wouldn't terminate contract excetp on the exact date or after the anniversary of initial contract.

I killed our family plan & dropped the service on the contract that runs till July to a less expensive contract.

Sad thing was telling the first nice CSR I've spoken to @ AT&T for a long time (after a 37 min wait) that I was dumping them because of their service, poor coverage, crappy retention plans, long wait times on hold, & their rates.

You have two options. One, to call and cancel at the end of your contract day (2/9) or call afterwards. It automatically cancels at the end of the next billing cycle. The choice is yours.
