u try windows update? maybe something there can help you out, i have never seen a blank search screen

:music:Have you tried to set a default? If not choose search, then change INTERNET search behavior. you will then see a list of providers, choose one and see if it takes...If not, use a recovery install to reinstall XP.:music:
