You can't use a PCI express video card with that case.

I wouldn't get a shuttle small case like that. Get a standard ATX case and a good motherboard.

Newegg has mushkin 2-2-2-5 memory for 120 per gig. I'd go with at least a gig to start for a gaming computer anyways.

If it's for gaming I'd stick with a CRT monitor. That way there is absolutely no ghosting at all, or go with an LCD that has a great response time (12ms and under)

For the mouse go with the mx518, the razor, mx510, or mx1000. Those are gaming mice. People argue about the 1000, but I have it and love it.

With the money saved on the RAM and Video card I'd check out the post on the hot deals forum about the aiw x800 xt for $320. It'd come out to nearly the same price for a better display unit and much faster graphics.

case doesn't matter as long as it fits. Try an antec case if you want a decent p/s. But a "tight" gaming machine would have a "tight" window and some LED components. (see svc.com for glowing ide cables + tr2 m1 HSF). A waste of money if you ask me. Those small cases are cool, but they're not cool! Not enough space and cooling, plus more work and hassle for yourself. Look elsewhere if possible.

Why a heatspreader? You're going to o/c it? I wouldn't waste the time or money on it. And pc2700 ram? I'm sure your mobo supports much higher. Go for 1GB of the max. Just go for the basic stuff from a major manufactuer if you want to save money.

Get a better mouse. That's way too much money for that basic mouse.

I prefer CRTs too, but LCDs are apparently cool these days and getting better. Go search for a deal on a 19" dell 1905fp if you want a bigger lcd for just a little more $$

Can't comment on the rest. My advice is do a LOT more shopping around before you start buying. From what I've commented on, you don't have optimal components. I'm sure there's more advice coming to you from fellow AT'ers
