Is this a scam?

I want to sell one of my cabinet for $300 and I posted a message and the picture on Craigslist.

2 text message replies from area code 424 and 860 (both not in my area) , probably same person/couple saying they are interested.

However, they wanted my name & address and said they will mail a cashier check, they will have someone to pick up the cabinet until check is cleared.

Scam? Or they want to break in my house?

Seconded. I sell a lot of stuff on CL and in my experience ANYTHING other then cash and local meet/pickup is always some kind of scam.

the cashier check will 'clear' at first and then it will fail later as it takes the banks a while to realize it's fake

the whole check system is ridiculous
