I was wondering who the hell would pay $300 to make their gun just look different. It doesn't even perform any better FFS.

My first thought was couldn't people just make their own skins (that look exactly like these $300 skins) and use them in-game? Or have games changed that much since the 90s/00s?

Recently, I sold a CSGO skin to someone for $290. He said the payment was sent by card, I asked why it was pending and he said it was because it took time for it to go from his bank my PayPal account. I asked on a different forum if this was a scam and multiple people. I asked him to show my proof he sent the payment and he sent me a screenshot of him refreshing his PayPal page showing he had sent the money. Do you guys think I have been scammed?

The skin you sold is literally just a different paint job for something? It doesn't do anything other than look cool? And you actually thought someone was stupid enough to pay nearly $300 for it?

In the time it took you to create an account and create your first post here(out of all places), you could have actually called Paypal and spoken to a human being that could have helped you. And you obviously, didn't get the answer you wanted to hear at the other forum, so you came here. Lastly, why would you send something without payment first? Well yes, it does sit in Paypal's bank account for three days so they can collect interest on the Billion Dollars revolving through there. Works just like your savings account, but dependent on a steady cash flow.
