Having an argument with my friend about this car.

It's listed as a WS6..but it basically looks like a standard Firebird with a new hood and wing. Two giveaways are that it has cloth seats..whereas Trans Ams come with leather standard, and the fact that it says Firebird on the back of the car. My friend argues that you can have cloth seats..and that WS6's says Firebird on the back, and not "Trans Am"..

It could be a Formula, I can't tell from the pictures. You can get the WS6 package in the Formula model, and not have the extra body cladding the Trans Am adds. The Trans Am is an appearance package, nothing more.

Last time i checked, the WS6 package was a handling package and nothing more. Just upgraded suspension and brakes.

Check the option codes in the glovebox. The WS6 is a manufacturing option code, same with Z28, and many other letter+number combinations.

It looks like a Formula WS6, they are pretty rare though. I didn't find any numbers on '98s but in '97 there were only 41 formula WS6's produced.
