Is this a new Youtube trend?

I think I've discovered a new genre of film making - it's got suspense, comedy, and action all in one! Will the poor kitty make it to the end of the vision? Will the treadmill overtake it down? Will PETA come and protest about this kind of things?

There's literally a million different videos of cats on treadmills and I just spent last 20 minutes watching them - ultimate time waster lol.

Edit: at work now on a Saturday and it sucks. At least the cats are having fun.

I like the ones where the cat just sleeps on the treadmill and falls off.

That's what most cats would do... they know better than to let their pet humans use them for amusement!

😀 that was amusing.
I need to see one with puppies! 🙂
edit: just searched the 'tube, and not really any comical videos. Mostly just a single puppy actually working out. One had a laser with an australian shepherd puppy, it was kind of cute.

We've all already seen what happens with dogs on a treadmill from the Jetsons. 🙂

Why does the entire fucking internet seem to think their cats are way funnier than they are? First lolcats, which were anything but lol and just mainly managed to highlight the sadly underdeveloped humor skills of nerds, and now this.

Great.

Newsflash to world: We know you love your pets and think everything they do is special. We don't share your feelings.

Edit: OP, I'm not attacking you personally, I just don't get what on earth makes people think their cats are suddenly amusing because "they're doing human things!"

State the obvious much? You're off base. The rant is against "omg my cat did something, anything, funnay!" people. The problem just happens to be more prevalent here in the international wide tubes.

The number of views that the videos get would seem to indicate otherwise.

I knew I should have patented my idea for a pet treadmill. Take one standard treadmill, encapsulate it so that the cat has nowhere to go and no choice but to exercise, and voila! No more fat kitty.

I also had the idea of keeping your kittens in a full body cast until about 12 months old, to keep them kitten sized (and therefore cute) indefinitely. But I'm not sure if that one would fly.

I dont give a damn whos pets they are, cats are funny as hell, period

The 2nd cat accelerating to match the speed of the treadmill makes the vid, hilarious 😀

that sounds like a great way of keeping them from getting tough and stringy, as well.
