Is this a late payment?

My mortgage is due on the 30th. However I have till the 7th to pay with no late fee penalty.

Let's say I decide to pay my mortgage on the 4th. Is that going to be a late payment on my credit report?

bill date and payment due date are different.

If your mortgage is DUE on the 30th, then it's late if you don't pay before then. Just because you have a grace period on a late fee doesn't mean it's not technically late.

It's not late. My mortgage was due on the 30th and I paid on the 5th every month for years. My credit scrore is about 804 (I'm refinancing now). No late charges on credit report.

Same here. Mine is due on the 1st of every month but I have a grace period til the 15th. I've been paying anywhere from the 10th to the 15th every month for years and don't have a mark on my credit report.

Irrelevant. If you can't pay your mortgage at anytime during the month then you can't afford it. Everyone knows this.
