Is this a good setup for raid? and how should I have everything set up?

I have a seagate 80 gb drive, and I am thinking about getting two more sometime in the near future. I will most likely be running raid and I was wondering how to set it up.

I don't see any details of a setup to comment on. There are all sorts of FAQs on RAID lying around to get you going enough to the point to put out a potential setup for us to at least comment on.

I mean Seagate makes the ST380020A (5400RPM IDE) and ST380021A (7200 RPM IDE) both 80GB. If you were being approximate, the ST173404LW, ST373405LW, and ST373307LW are 73.4GB 10K SCSI drives.

You don't give much details about your intended setup...

I do suggest you get Western Digital JB drives instead of the Seagates.

Yeah I didn't really put much details, I was wondering how it should be set up, I have never done it before. The reason I want to go with seagate(ST380021A) is because I have one already, and I like that it doesn't make any sound, and it has been very reliable for me over the past year. I have no idea how to do a raid setup...

If you have no clue on how to do a RAID setup, I suggest you do some research before delving into it. 😉

Just do a search on google for RAID or RAID LEVELS and you'll find tons of information.
