Someone at my school is selling this:
Compaq Armada 7800
PII 300 MHz
128 MB RAM
256 KB Cash
8 GB HD
14.1" TFT
DVD
3.5" FDD
33.6 K Modem + LAN
AC + Battery (Good condition)
Quick Restore CD's

I'm selling it for only <<< $830 >>>

I've been wanting a laptop, but I don't know what good prices are. Does this sound reasonable to anyone?

The price seems resonable to me. Even though the CPU is alittle slow by todays standards, the laptop has plenty of memory, DVD, and a nice 8 G hd as extra's. Don't forget to get some type of warranty from the seller if possible.

When I'm pricing a piece of used equipment, I check prices for comparable systems on Egay- then figure they are %10-15 high and figure accordingly.

Using the above thoughts- about $400-500

yea, I'd say it's worth about $500-550... could use a faster processor & a 56k modem. Oh, and I just so happen to have a laptop that may fit the bill ;):
link (shameless attempt to make a sale :D)
