No... I said 5 hours a week, not 5 hours a day. I was asking why you assumed 9 hours when a "standard" work week is 40 hours (above which hourly employees must be paid for overtime).
(9*5) - (8*5) =
5 hours a week
Gobadgers raises a good point. Health insurance in NJ will run you around $5000 a year. When you figure in that, plus no vacation days, no sick days, no 401k, extra ~7% in taxes, you're looking at the equivalent of a $50k/year salaried position, and you have no job security.
I'd say not worth relocating for the money, but when you figure in the intangible benefits of living in NJ vs FL (we have the best pizza IN THE WORLD), it's a lot more attractive
