Is this a good new year's gift?

Going to a new year's party in a few hours and I picked up this sampler (got it for $89 though) - was that a good gift or should I have gone with a bottle of good champagne?

Looks cool. I didn't realize there were New Year's gifts though.

Well, it's a house gift - they're inviting me over and getting me drunk and feeding me so I'm bringing a gift.

Good deal. I'd be happy with it. 🙂

It is tradition that you bring a gift to someone's home at the start of a new year. That goes for anyone, party or not. The first time you go back (could be a week later) you should still give the gift.

At least thats how it is in Canada 😉

ok, good 🙂 the guy at the store ( a very friendly dude) was insisting that champagne was the way to go and I don't really know enough about liquor to know what a "good" alcoholic drink would be.. but I had blue label once and... lemme tell you... I hope he let's me have some tonight 😉

You're basically paying for the JW Blue label in that sampler. At over $130 a 750ML bottle, probably half the cost is the JW Blue. Still an awesome gift though.
