Is this a good deal?

Not sure if this post belongs here, but I saw this posting for a computer, and it seems like a really nice deal for a complete system. I was thinking about making myself a new nforce2/barton 2500+ system, but this seems pretty good.

My only concern is how upgradable this system is. I asked the guy about the ram speed, but I assume it will be pc2100. Otherwise, is this a good board for OCing? How easily could I drop a barton into this board and OC?

Thanks for your help,
Graham

doesnt say what speed ram it is. For all you know it could be ddr1600 or ddr2100. Seems like a ok/great deal to me.

Perhaps it's one of the older Athlon boards. If I read it correctly, it looks like it has SDRAM and not DDR RAM. How much of a bottleneck would SDRAM be for an Athlon 2600?

A7N8X-DX. It's DDR. Either 2100 or 2700, depending on which version 2600+ he/she has.

BTW, holy junk! That's tons of software for $1000!

I'm sure it's all perfectly legal installations of it too. :)

A7N8X is nforce mobo - none of which can even use regular SDRAM. Has to mean DDR SDRAM.
. Sounds like a pretty good setup for a grand. Particularly with the 18" LCD monitor. But you'll miss the fun of picking out the parts yourself, assembling them, followed by the adrenaline rush of the "smoke test"...

Thanks for the advice guys. I've built plenty of systems, don't even know if I will get this, but I thought it looked like a good deal. Maybe I will convince a friend to get it...

*nod* what everyone else has said - the software is certainly not legit... whether or not you care is your own concern...
