Is this a good deal?

What do you guys think of the system below? It's for my sister, she's not very technologically adept but is into the whole digital photography scene. She has dial-up now but may eventually get a cable modem in the near future. Should I go Dell for her? Do you think there's a better deal somewhere else for cheaper?

im not sure that this would be the place for this post.. but, before the lock..
you might wanna search for the deal on the dell 400sc , u can get a very similar system with a little more future for upgrades, for around 325.00 shipped to your door.

Yes, SgtZulu is right, wrong forum and he's always more then happy to point that out. On the other hand look for the dell deal that ended yesterday. For $100 more you got a lot better deal. I would wait another week or two and see if there is a better offer then the one you posted.

I'd just like to point out again, that the Stickied threads, like the forum rules, are not sticky if you don't have "Show most recently replied to threads at top" selected in your profile. For those folks, me included, they get pushed off the first page as newer threads are posted, so not everyone sees them.

I'd just like to point out for the first time, that since new accounts default to "show most recent Replied To topic at the top" there is almost a 0% chance that some newbie went in and altered his personal option settings before his first post when he can't even figure out that no one else is posting questions. The most likely senerio is that they didn't care and didn't read.

My mother just got a 2400 with:
2.4GHz Celeron
256MB RAM
80GB 7200RPM HD
Cd + CDRW
17" monitor + the other crap for $500.

With that said I dont think this deal is very good. 128MB is not enough for XP to do much of anything and the 5400RPM "value" HD is bad as well.
