I have a Dell latitude, but an older model, it's a very good laptop, runs really cool and very fast even thou its a core 2 due with 2 gig ram! no problem so far so since i know mine, I'm sure that's a good deal with i7 cpu and more importantly 120 GB SSD, Let alone the laptop itself performance, I think latitude series are the best.
No gaming. I might do photoshop and edit 1080p go pro videos though. Do you thinl it can handle that?
Are i7's really necessary on laptops? both i5 and i7's on laptops are duo cores with HT, and both aren't really up to par with desktop cpu's for video editing anyways.
I agreed with you. They are pretty much identical. Dual core intel can run better than AMD 8-core CPU.There are quad core i7s for laptops. The dual core i7s are just a scam imo since they are pretty much identical to the mobile i5s.

The i7 4700MQ and above are 4core/8thread mobile CPUs. Any mobile i7 below that may as well be called an I5 or an I3 with Turbo. This could not be a more deceiving naming practice.
