Is this a good deal for a Bestbuy gift card.

so my classmate is offering me a $600 bestbuy giftcard for $440 and willing to meet up at bestbuy to verify with me.

should i take it? risks?

Your classmate's friend is going to mug you as you walk into the store.

Does Best Buy even put that much money on gift cards? I thought stores usually had a limit.

Uh, if they verify it then whats the issue?

as long as you can use the gift card and all the money at best buy...if they have nothing you want, it's a waste, unless you resell it for more than you paid for it.
if you can use it, then that is like $160 free money.

if you really want something from there and dont feel any shenanigans, do it.

heck spend $400 on stuff you want,t hen sell the other $200 for say $150. profit 100

Silly question but when returning stuff you bought with a gift card do you not get cash back?

Everywhere I've ever been to would put the balance on another gift card as a refund.

As long as you verify the amount on the card, not much risk. Just hope that BB has something non-overpriced for you to buy 😛

Your username says a lot...

If you don't use it all that day I guess the guy who sold it to you could use the balance up online if he writes down the code?

Well, so long as they verify it, sure, that's a pretty slick deal. But only if you plan on spending lots of money at Best Buy... spending any money there is a rarity for most people on these forums, unless Hot Deals finds something juicy of course 😛

The smart thing to do is to buy $600 worth of gift cards so the old gift card is now useless.
