Transcoding video is CPU/HD/System Memory intensive, not video card intensive. So if you're definately NOT gaming... and ALL you're doing is displaying a screen... then you could have "future proofed" yourself YEARS ago with any video card. The newer, snazzier, fancier, more expensive video cards of today are good for only two things... video games and CAD. If you're not doing either, there is NO NEED for an expensive video card... heck, on the MB video is just fine for what you describe.I dont know a thing about it... used for transcoding videos... No gaming or overclocking... I'm basically looking at building a config that is future proof for atleast a year.
