Is this a decent upgrade from a EVGA GTX 460 SC?

Do you need an upgrade?

770 is one of the worst price/perf cards out right now.

670 for $220 or 7950 for $200 are much better if you care about price/perf.

Also AMD is coming out with new chips pretty soon I believe (so I've been told), might want to wait to see how that works out if anything it should at least shake up the price structure.

Went from a GTX 460 1GB @ 875 Mhz to a GTX 670 2GB and the difference was stunning. It still is over a year later. As Balla said, there are really good buys right now on them and the HD 7950.

Why do you want to upgrade? Grab another GTX 460 1GB for SLI and you're laughing. I know, I upgraded to 2 GTX 760 4GB but a fool and his money are soon parted, no what I'm sayin'?

More like regretting it thanks to only 1GB of VRAM! hahahaha..

Currently running an I7-2600K Sandybridge in an Asus P8P67 Pro. Right now I am leaning towards passing on it as some of the reviews I read pretty much backed up what BallaTheFeared posted.

I had a GTX 460 and upgraded to a 760 and the performance difference is excellent. The GTX 760 is a very good price to performance card. If you like EVGA, their ACX version is good, but the Gigabyte, Asus, and MSI one run quieter and just as fast. You could also opt for MSI 760 Hawk which can reach stable clock speeds up to 1360mhz on the core I've seen which puts it over 770 performance.

Like others have said though. AMD is having their announcement on Wednesday. Don't know if it is going to be a hard launch or not, but wouldn't hurt to see what their two new top end cards have to offer.
