Is this a decent PSU?

I currently have a Delta 300W powering an AMD X2 3800(939), 7600GS, 250GB HDD, DVD burner, 1GB ram.

Is it worth it to buy that PSU yes or no?

I don't want other suggestions unless there cheaper and NO NEWEGG links.

As it is the 7600GS runs fine at 420/800 and its an HP so no overclocking of the cpu but I want to buy a new motherboard next month so the extra power would be nice. I'll never go SLI or Crossfire so thats not a concern.

Thanks all.

The board in my comp is an MSI RS480-IL (I think Heres the specs ). If a new board wont line up with the holes I'll make it fit lol. My warranty is done next month so I'm adding what I want to it now.

You are the only one who can answer your question. You know the intimate details of your system and what changes you want to make shortly and in the more distant future.

I would recommend that you sit down and play with this power supply calculator.

All you have to do is plug in the values and it will produce a recommended wattage. Try it with your system as it now is, you may find that you have been right on the edge of being underpowered. Then plug in the values for the system after you have made all upgrade changes.

Good luck and best wishes on your journey.

Hope this is of some use to you.

Yes, but I'm really just agreeing with Howard as I have never used one of those before 😀
