Is this a cable modem?

Yep Yep....it is a cable modem. It looks very similar to the RCA ones we used to install. Can't say that is who actually makes it though.
 
i did some googling and found that Videotron appears to be a cable provider in canada. so i'm assuming it is made by them.
 
Turns out Videotron is a cable company in Quebec, so this might be useful to subscribers of their service. Hehe nihil beat me. 🙂

they were also recently bought out or are contracting now through a larger company. i'm not sure of the name though but it seems videotron was in some serious debt for a while after being put out by their larger competitors.
 
My ISP is Videotron and this is a cable modem that is needed to connect to their service.

Of course when you purchase the modem fron Radio Shack you also have to subscribe to the ISP.
