Is this a C1 chip?

I saw auction on egay about a OEM P4 2.53. I asked him what is the marking on the cpu.

He replied with this:

"PENTIUM4
2.53ghz/512/533/1.525v"

Is this a C1 chip since its 1.525v?

there should be more numbers from the cpu under those

I have heard the 2.53 c1 or bo doesn't overclock that well. I am hopping to get an 1.8 or 2.0 c1.

1.525V should be C1, but I was unaware any 2.53 were of the C1 stepping. I know mine is not.

Why wouldn't you think the 2.53 would have a c1 stepping??? Imean there is supposed to be a c1 stepping for 1.8,2.0,2.26,& 2.4ghz as well so I would surely expect a 2.53 c1.....plus intel has it listed at its spec code page....

supposedly that is a definite clue...the 1.525v that is as the 2.8ghz chip was the first c1 stepping chip to be released and it was the first migration to the raised default vcore....
