I'd get a 21 inch monitor. THey don't really lose thier value. You buy a monitor, and unlike a cpu or harddrive, lasts A LONG time!

So don't go cheap on one.

a crt 21? I've been thinking that too but my budget is around 350ish for my display. I'm also considering going dualy 19 CRTs but not sure

Hitachi "17
16ms responce time
Nuff said.
brought one today. typing on it now. unbelieveable image quality. this TFT rules.

Yeah, except the Hitachi is $650 or so, way over his budget.

LCDs are very nice but you have to pay a lot for decent response times to get rid of ghosting. Also when said response times become the norm, your monitor will lose a lot of value. A relatively cheaper CRT monitor is probably a better choice at this point in time.
