What's wrong with cable and DSL?

You don't have much choices otherwise unless you want a leased line which is comparatively overpriced.

Keep in mind that Satellite connections require the use of a modem for upstream, meaning your bandwidth that way is crap. Also it means you have WHOA NELLY lagtime so don't expect to play many online games.

You are not going to get anything faster for under $100.

FYI: They're = They Are, which didn't make much sense. I think you mean, there.

Cripes man, how fast do you want?
I mean I know Optimumonline and a few other cable cos offer 3mbps which is about as fast as anyone could need in the forseeable future.

I download multi-gig torrents on a constant basis and i have 768/128. It's called "patience"

You could move to NJ and get optimum online, its 10Mbit down and 1Mbit up (and you actually get close to that most of te time) for $45 if you have family cable and $50 without CATV service

Well, those cable internet providers usually have some business plans giving upto 1.5mb upstream where I live. Check out those plans.

Wireless if they have it in your area.

You might want to spend $100 on a higher teir DSL connection.

dslreports.com Good source of information on DSL and Cable ISPs.
