Tomorrow (Monday 11th Jan) I'll be ordering my new upgrade parts, buying a C2duo E8400,Asus P5kc mobo,4 GB Geil DDR2 RAM and I will OC to at least 3.6Ghz and possibly 4Ghz if temps allow.
I've read a load of reviews whilst trying to figure out the best CPU HS and the one that get's the best reviews is the Thermalright IFX-14 so I set my heart on buying one of these beasts.
However on further inspection I see the specs are Dimension : L146.2 x W124 x H161 mm and I get the sneaking feeling it may not fit my case!
Would anyone be able to confirm that this CPU HS will or will not fit into a Coolermaster Praetorian case, also if it will fit in ....will it stop the mobo tray from operating?
If it won't fit could someone give me some advice as to the next best option that will fit in my case.
I'm currently running an AMD x2 4400 with a zalman CNPS 7700cu which fits well but I'm not happy with the way the fins filled with dust and don't seem to be able to be cleaned (even with a can of air) unless I'd be willing to disassemble the lot and find some way to clean it,so I'd rather not go down the Zalman path again.
