Is there a big difference between using a 12 gig vs 16 gig 1600 mhz ram? I mean visually different? Does it really effect load times etc? Also with an ssd does it even make a difference?

If you needed the extra 4GB, you'd know it.

I'd say no, you're not going to notice the difference between 12 and 16BG, or probably even 8GB

If you are gaming and not doing much in the background (having web browser, Skype, Ventrilo and Mirc running doesn't count as doing much) you probably won't notice a difference between 4GB and 16GB of system RAM.

SSD versus HDD, you will notice a difference in loading times, but (usually) not in actual gameplay.

Going from an HDD to an SSD will result in VERY noticeable REAL WORLD gains and make long load times a thing of the past.

Going from 12gb to 16gb will NOT.. your real world gains will be in the milliseconds..
