I have the oem microsoft pro keyboard that only comes with usb (didn't know that when i ordered it from newegg) and it works fine except when trying to boot off a floppy. Apperently in dos mode or the part where it ask you to either boot with cd-rom support ot not, usb is not working. This is strange because i can use my usb keybaord to load bios setup and it works fine there. Anyways if there is a usb to ps2 converter for a keyboard like there is for the mouse than that would safe me alot of headache.

I know they have converters for mouse but have yet to see one for keyboard. Anyway, have you checked your bios for hardware support for the USB Keyboard? There is an option in the bios whether the USB keyboard support will be OS or hardware and you should choose the latter.

Have you tried those USB to PS/2 adapter for mouse on your keyboard? (not sure if it will work though..)
But again, you can get a regular keyboard for less than $5 at your local CompUSA. (perhaps it might be even cheaper just to get a adopter?)

Have a look around in your BIOS and see if there is an option called Legacy USB Support. It should be enabled (if you have that option).

I got home and checked the settings on my Abit board and the choice is either "BIOS" or "OS". If you run windows 95 OSR2.X and later you should choose OS. But if you need to run in pure DOS or your OS does not support USB then choose BIOS.
