Is there such a thing as an audio splitter cable?

I have a 4.1 setup and i was using 2 speakers earlier that id like to keep using. Is there such a thing as a male end of something like a telephone cord and then 2 female ends. And, even if it exists, will it a 6.1 system work with my 5.1 sound card? (i know obviously the positioning wont be perfect.

Whenever I need something like that I go to RadioShack. If they do not have it, they have the tools that will allow you to make your own.
I purchased a tool and telephone line ends from them and I was able to easily (I'm no EE either) to make custom length telephone cords and to repair telephone cords that have been yanked from the socket and the clippy thing has been removed.

Yes there is a mini-jack splitter. I use them occasionally.....
