HP LP2475w (24" H-IPS 1920x1200)
Dell U2711 (27" IPS? 2560x1440)

Plenty of others, but those are generally your cheapest alternatives. Most have some kind of problem.

In that case, no, I don't believe so at the moment.

There was something about HP and LED / IPS displays at CES, but IIRC it ended up being one model that was LED and another model that was IPS.

A properly designed CCFL can be just as good as any (white) LED hence the lack of development (and a proper RGB LED one is way beyond the everyday user's wallet see HP's DreamColor unit over $2k.)
