All so-called omni mice seem to have the back button on the left hand side which is no good for us leftys. Anybody know of a TRUE left handed mouse?

Thanx

Well yes and no...I have the need for a left handed mouse as I support lot's of teachers in a public school system. I have tried the MS Intellimouse. It's shape is very pleasing and with the software, you can switch all 5 buttons around. The lefties who try it love it....

I use a Logitech Optical Wheelmouse as well, it's very comfortable. If you put a line down the middle of the mouse, the two sides would be mirror images. Very comfortable.

By the way, do my fellow lefties still use the righty mouse buttons? :p I have the righty mouse buttons but it's on the left side of my body, so I use my middle finger to click on things and my index finger to right click. Heh, guess that comes from being partially ambidextrous. :)

I have my buttons switched so it's an exact mirror image as a righty mouse.

So the MS Intellimouse does come in a lefty style? It's kind of a waste for me to get one otherwise since I won't be able to use the thumb buttons. The Logitech ones look nice, but I think the thumb buttons would come in very handy.

Yeah zippy! I'm the same way. My left click is under my middle finger too, and my right click is under my pointer. I mean it's setup for a righty button-wise but i just got use to the right handed button configuration so now i'm just like bah, whatever. :)

I'm using a cheap, no-brand scrollmouse. It's totally neutral in its shape, thus excellent for 'lefties' and 'righties'.

I'm ambidextrous, so sometimes I just switch the mouse from my left to my right hand. I do switch the buttons, though, so that the 1st button (main select) is always beneath my index finger.

The answer is no. There are no ergonomic Left Hand mice. Logitech had one about 9 years ago. The urban myth is that they shipped all of them to Office something or other and none of the others. That was the end of that. If you are left handed, you have the advantage. I have determined everything is designed for short right handed people. I have adapted. I had no choice.

You must conform! I did. I hate using a mouse in my left hand even though I am left handed :)

I always switch the buttons to left hander. I even put my mouse on the left side of the keyboard. There is a totally discoordinated geek in MIS. Whenever he has to come to my workstation, never invited, he contorts to use his right hand on the mouse left of keyboard. That is funny, funnier is when he starts to click. Haahahaahaha I have tried to tell him and others, just use the left hand and the big pointy finger. Right handers have hearing issues.

Amen to that... I am left handed, and the main reason I never want to learn it on the left hand is the fact that you NEED to go with the standard.....For instance.. you go to someones house.... your used to your left handed only mouse.. they have a right handed one... as most are... I think you get my point....
