Is there such a thing as a keyboard quieter?

girl at office is complaining that her nails are making too much noise when she's typing

Do they make a rubber cover for keyboards that muffs the sound? I know it sounds crazy, but this is the kind of crazy sh1t users ask :D

A regular keyboard cover might help a little.

If she touch types, just get a cardboard box big enough to go over the kb with space to type and line it with some foam. Sure it'll look stupid, but it'll work.

If she's a cuttie, then: they got one they used at car shop to cover the keyboard from oil. Otherwise: I dunno :)

You are looking for the Virtually Indestructable Keyboard:

My wife has 2 of them and they are absolutely silent. Took her a week or so to get used to it, but she won't use a regular keyboard now.

Agreed. I know it's time to cut the old nails when the keyboard starts clicking.
I've never been one to have those ultra-short nails sported by most guys; I find that slightly longer nails come in handy very often. Once the keyboard tells me they're too long (or if I'm just bored out of my mind, which doesn't happen often), then I cut them. Very easy.
Also, doesn't that hurt her fingers? If I type for awhile when my nails are too long, it starts to hurt.

If you aren't brave enough to suggest a nail trimmer (just write the link on a piece of paper, hand it to her and walk away) what woman would want you anyway?
. I would give her a link to a blacksmith's hoof trimmer myself - for a little added effect. If she can't laugh at it, then who would want her?
. But there are rubber pads that can be put under keyboards to decouple the noise from the desk so it doesn't sound so loud.
