Recently, I have encounter many issues w/ RAM on many different system.

Crucial "Micron-chip" PC2100
PNY "Infenion-chip" PC2100

I have tried them individually w/ both AMD and P4 system. Seems both having stability problem, that may cause radom reboot.
(I run them at 133FSB ONLY)

Then I purchase PNY "Samsung-chip" PC2100, the problem never appear again.
I tried the CC's generic brand "Nanya-Singarpore-chip" PC2100 , it appear to be more responsive.

Is it me or it seems the "name brand" chip maker has some problem? Or is it just issue w/ some mobo I am using?

p.s. I did not change any setting while I swtiching around the RAM.

I haven't seen any issues with my Crucial DDR2100 in either of my mobo's. Wonder if you ran both of those chips through a mobo with a bad regulator on the Vdimm line and managed to damage both of them (both are lifetime warranty, which you should utilize).

Matter of fact I am running my Crucial DDR2100 at 362.5mhz right now.

Argh....possible cause, thanks.

Now I might have to figure out which mobo is to blame!
Also, PNY (infenion-chip) does NOT respond to 166FSB on my P4 system, while both PNY (samsung-chip) and CC (Nanya-chip) run without the problem.

Is this possible?

Does upping your Vdimm (from 2.5 to say 2.7) make any difference whether it will run or not?
