Is there some recurring charge on the PSN that I missed during signup?

Got an e-mail this morning saying funds ($19.99) had been added to my Playstation Network account (with today's date), & sure enough there seem to be charges pending on the CC. I haven't even turned the damn thing on in a few days, & the g/f's been out of town so I know she didn't do it. Not that she would even know how to turn it on anyway.

Any chance I missed something during signup that would auto-bill? I thought maybe it was just a delayed charge from the things I did buy from the PS store but looking back those were billed back when I bought them.

Any idea WTF this might be?

Ya, plus, Qore is only 2 weeks old, I'm sure the OP would remember signing up for it, even if it was possible it would charge 2 weeks later instead of immediately.

OP, that's very, very fishy. Check your account on your console and see if there is some kind of purchase history. That is, if your password still works....

Definitely did not sign up for Qore, I remember seeing the ads for it but I don't even know what it is.

The odd thing is that nothing is showing in my transaction history when I login to the PC store. I see the transactions that I actually made, but not the one in the e-mail from this morning.

I called the PS Store support line, they say the e-mail was an error caused by maintenance performed yesterday & that lots of people have been calling with the same issue. They claim no charges have been made, & that I can disregard the e-mail.

Don't know what those are yet, they haven't posted. I do use the card frequently so it's quite possible it's just a coincidence. I'll know in a few days, either they'll post & I'll ID them or they will drop off.

Given that nothing shows in my transaction history in the PC store I am inclined to believe that no charge ever happened. I would love a better explanation of what happened though, & some assurance that it won't happen again. It's slightly disconcerting that their billing system just sends out random notices about my card being charged.
