Is there similar companies out there?

I received several items from NewEgg, all in one box, with a damaged video card. I called to inquire about an RMA and the service was so excellent I had to call back the next day to make sure I understood correctly. They are going to overnight me a replacement card. UPS will contact me for a pick up time for the damaged one. I am out no money at all in getting this card replaced.
I deal with venders and contractors all day long at my job. When service like this happens my first thought is I am being lied to. I wish more companies would strive to improve their customer service like NewEgg.
Anybody know of other companies with similar customer service excellence?

I had a similar experience about five or six years ago with an Antec True330. Advertised as "whisper quiet", but sounded like I lived under the approach path at Sea-Tac airport. RMA was approved, then they mysteriously went OOS after receiving the bad unit back. They were going to credit me, but all my new system needed was power, so the guy on the phone sent me an Enermax 365, didn't charge shipping on it, then without prompting from me refunded my shipping of the RMA unit...I ended up with a slight credit with a superior PSU.

As a result, my first choice when shopping new toys is Newegg.

In other words...the answer is no.

TigerDirect has excellent customer support IMO. Believe it or not, Microsoft has always provided me with excellent customer support as well.

My one transaction with Newegg went well, and they seem to have the best prices. I'm trying to find a vendor with similar prices and service that doesn't operate out of NY since I'd prefer to not pay $100+ in sales tax on my new build, but so far the best I've found is ZipZoomFly.com, but they're selection is smaller.

ZipZoomFly makes it easy to find things and usually has the lowest prices and free shipping on most items. Always hella fast processing times. However, I do like Newegg because of the customer reviews, and their prices are usually comparable to ZZF, with occasional free shipping.

As far as NY and sale tax goes.

I think that it has nothing to do with operating in NY.

NY legislators passed a law that allows them to demand sale tax from any one who sell stuff to New Yorkers.

They are just going after the big vendors one after the other.

Eventually all Vendors, where ever they are would be forced to comply.

In all honesty, nothing competes with NewEgg. Their customer service is top notch and their website is very intuitive. TigerDirect/Buy.com/etc. all blow.

For my newest build I bought everything off of Newegg. Came in one box (minus the case), nothing damaged, thoroughly packed. Just bought 2 monitors and 3 120mm fans from them and again, no problems. Newegg is the king.

I've gotten power supplies like that. I think what that means is if the fan is running in a vacuum, then it is whisper quiet. It's the moving air that makes all the noise, not the fan itself. Deceptive advertising at it's worst. But it's not Newegg's fault, they just display what the manufacturer gives them.

I have always been happy with Mwave.com
I've always ordered from Newegg, switched to Mwave once when briefly Newegg wouldn't sell MS Office OEM unless you buy a full pre-built computer (I was buying a full computer, but through parts, not a pre-built). Anyways, the Office cd comes damaged, unusable. The guy I had on the phone was convinced I bought a retail copy and needed to deal with MS for a replacement. I knew I bought an OEM copy, and MS provides no help at all with them (I even took MWave's word for it at first, not about buying a retail copy, but that MS would replace an OEM copy, called MS, they said absolutely not). I had to call back and continuing arguing with the guy at MWave over what product I bought... I know it was only once, but I mean, you only get one first impression.

Newegg once shipped an rma to the wrong address (was an old one and was their fault) tell me I was SoL over the phone and that it was my fault. Then I have a different item break down they do it again! They realize their RMA department never updated my address when the rest of their system did but tell me I'm still SoL. I ended up having to wait till I went back to college from summer break to get my items back from the mail room there. That was a few years ago and besides that I've had a lot of good experiences with them just thought I'd point out it's not always peachy : )

It is free for all any one can use what ever they like and be happy.

I have my habits and buy from few vendors, and so can you, thus No need for "silly" argument.
