i agree, somehow that movie got a cult following. i watched it and didn't see what they saw

They're gay (had the hots for the two leads). Really though, I bought this DVD on the word of mouth it got on these forums and boy was I dissappointed. Boondock Saints was a bad Tarrantino ripoff.

Boondock Saints is a quality flick. All Tarantino stuff is sh|t.

you think pulp fiction is sh!t?

Large pile with steam...

At least Pulp Fiction was original. Boondock Saints was a low-budget, badly edited action movie. I think it was the accents that got some people going.

LOL, you are out of your mind. Pulp Fiction is one of the all time classics! Why did you hate it?
Amish hates almost all movies, get used to it!

The restaurant scene in Hard Boiled is to be seen and felt.

Either Gary Oldman walking through the crack dealer's apt and shooting everybody (the crack dealer being Michael Badalucco, the chubby guy on The Practice), or the final gun battle of Leon vs SWAT, or the opening gun fight of Leon vs the visiting drug dealer. Man, Leon, has it all.

Like all Tarantino crap, it's excessive and pointless violence with no redeeming qualities.

'Some' of the best gun scenes( in no order )...

*Restaurant scene in 'A Better Tomorrow'
*Restaurant scene in 'The Killer'
*Restaurant scene in 'Hard Boiled'
*Bank scene in 'Heat'
*Gunkata in 'Equalibrium'
*Opening scene in 'Nemesis' ( Hint: turn up the sound )
*Bar scene in 'Full Contact'( seen from the viewpoint of the bullets )
*Kitchen scene in 'Immortals' ( typical gun in your face stand off with about 12 people, when everyone starts shooting )
*Final scene in 'The FBI Murders' ( Incredibly intense, dragged out battle scene because these guys would not die! - And its a true story!)
*Final gun scene in 'Taxi Driver'
*Final Bank scene in 'Renegade Force'( S.W.A.T. vs S.W.A.T. )

Didn't bother to read the whole thread ;) but off-hand I would say other candidates are Unforgiven, Open Range, Saving Private Ryan, and Heat.

Agreed. Equilibrium's gun fights were pretty cool. I actually liked them better than the Matrix's

I'm going to have to say the scene where Brandon Lee infiltrates the bad guys headquarters in "The Crow" is the best ever.

Best fire fight scene and noone said the slaughter in The Patriot with Mel Gibson? WTF. I can watch the patriot scene constantly. I think matrix FBI battle is just slightly below the patriot scene.

How about the lighthouse scene in Battle Royale?.... Or the parts where kiriyama goes psycho on the fellow "classmates"
