Yes there is :)

Run regedit
then go to Registy
then Export registry file
Export range set to- ALL

Save the file & name it whatever you want. To load the "saved" or exported registry file simply double click it.

If you only want to save selected branches of the registry?
Run regedit
then go to Registy
then Export registry file
Export range set to- slected branch.
(Hint: If you open the branch you want to export, it will be selected in the text box.)

Hope this helps.

Another way, which doesn't SPECIFICALLY answer your question, is to keep a "Known Good" image of your Boot/OS drive (you DO keep your data on a separate partition from your OS and programs, right? right? ;-) with Norton Ghost.

My Plextor 12x burner came with a coupon for a rebadged version of Ghost, it's awesome I make a Bootable CD-Set of my "known good" image so I can get back to a working setup with all the tweaks (including registry) in just a few minutes...

Yes you can span your ghost across mutiple CDs, no problem. The first CD of othe set is the boot CD.
