Is there anywhere to get really nice prints of digital pics?

I've had some printed up for $.30 at a couple of places and they look pretty decent, but you can tell that the printer is the shortfall, and not the camera. There is artifacting and some poor coloration here and there. Are there any nice places that I could likely bring pics too, or maybe upload them and have them mailed, etc.?

lots of times they have coupons for 25 free digital 4x6s :)

edit: I just checked for you and the coupon is currently expired, but they have it every month or two.

Photoshop to set the image parameters properly for printing, and a Canon i960 with some photo paper. Believe it or not, in many cases this is what's sitting behind the partition at the development place :p

I'll see about the i960, but those recoing target and costco, have you compared to ones from a place like CVS and wolf camera (professional photochain). I've had pics done at both and the quality was as mentioned in the first post: Good, but not as good as I'd like.

4X6 standard but I'd like to go a bit bigger on occassion. I really would like to see if anybody here can confirm that the pictures at some of these quick places like CVS are crap, whereas one at Costco is good. This way I know that it's their fault and not something I'm doing wrong with the pic (but I doubt that's the case, since I always go with the highest size picture I have and let their software auto-shrink to its max capable print resolution).

skoorb, CVS is CRAP walmart is OK and the rest IDK about because there isnt a costco anyplace near me

if you can find out what printers the places are useing that is good, the Fuji forntier is the best one of the printers places like this use, some CostCos use them i hear an also most photo places use them as well, the online stores use them or large banner inkjets like the Epson 9600 and HP 5500s

if your gonna go online Adorama by far has the best deal 19 cents for a 4x6, they do a great job as well, but your gonna have to download the ICC profile, they tell you how to do that tho

Thanks. I'm glad to hear that CVS is crap. It's a big yellow kodak thing. it's ok, but really I'd like better. I think that the pro place we went to yesterday was a bit better, but I don't see why I can't have it look _perfect_, with no artifacting. I'd like the print out pic to look as good as it does on the computer, or as good as if I had a regular film print (assuming I've got enough resolution for that of course).
