Is there anyway to get free ring tones/wallpapers/games for your cell phone?

it does, it's an mp3 player, (not that i use it as that, it's just a feature) but it did not come with a usb cable.

There's 3gforfree, if you browse it on your phone its free, but if you go to the website on your computer they want you to pay, its weird. If you want to make your own stuff I've used THIS website with success. You make an account, pick which phone you have, upload the song, pick where you want the ringtone to start and stop, and they automatically edit and convert it to a file type your phone supports. I didnt have any luck with their wallpaper maker though, but that was over a year ago when I tried, so it may be better.

does your phone have bluetooth? if so, couldn't you just make the mp3 ringtone on your pc and then transfer the file via bluetooth? i know i've done that for downloading video/photo from the phone to my pc.

yeah it is blue tooth. i never thought about that, is that difficult?

and thanks for the site mxrider, i will try that.

Unless you're with Verizon you should have any problem getting free stuff for your phone.

What phone and carrier?

i found that my razr will record sounds in mp3, and when i send that sound over as a txt message i have the opportunity of saving it as a ringtone on my new phone. new phone is the lg enV. same with my friends razr, she has some ringtones that are mp3s and i was able to send them to my phone and convert them. doesnt work with the midis tho, not sure why. and i know verizon blocks adding ringtones with bluetooth right now, something they used to allow and advertise with their connectivity kit. now the kit only makes it a modem i guess. i cant see muchc use for it otherwise. my new one also ha the flash card, so i can add any wallpaper i want as long as the phone is able to show the resolution. up to 1600X1200 is what mine will handle, but the razr will only display 1280X1024. most of this is up to what phone you have.

hey dude havent you seen those late night commercials where you can get rings and girls wiping your screen! dude just text 55582 or whatever and its all yours!!!

GSM motorola phones are usually usb and using mobile phone tools, it's quite easy to add ringtones, wallpapers, and skins. There's always a way to add java games provided you have the installer.

BitPim.

I think I'm done with Verizon. I love my new Chocolate (the NEW one, not the crappy old one)... it's the sex... I got it in Black Cherry. But I'm sick of bullshit restrictions on my phone. I can't even run java apps. There's no reason good phones today shouldn't be able to run java apps.

Edit: Then again, I rarely care to use my phone for anything other than phone calls so... meh...

I forgot about phonezoo which is my favorite for pre-made ringers. You make an account and you browse the ringers on your computer, then when you find one you like, they will send a text message with a link to download it to your phone.

thanks mx, sounds cool. the mobile17 site worked pretty good too. anyone know about this:

if its 1cent per kB, which statistic am i looking at: last data sent or last data received?

thanks

so if i have a usb cable, are there any free games i can download and put on? or even websites that give free games/wallpapers/ringtones through usb connection.

thanks again people.

CDMA phones run BREW. Thank Qualcomm for that one. If you want Java, find a GSM carrier.
