Is there anyway I can install Windows 7 on a partition? Kinda complex...

I dont have access to a backup hard drive right now, and I dont want to lose any files. Anyway, I just got my Windows 7 disc and am eager to install it, so I dont want to wait.

Can i like, install it on only part of the drive so I can keep the info that I currently have on Vista? Then I would just copy the data over and delete the partition.

Yes it is possible. If I remember correctly, when you choose what drive to install Windows 7 at, you can create your partition there and even install it to the same C drive.

yes, when installing win7 they give you the choice to partition your drive and be able to dual boot.

One caveat may be your AVAILABLE free space. If you have unmovable files scattered across the drive, you may not have enough contiguous free space to make a useful partition. If it were me, I'd install Win7 in a VM to play around with it, and wait until you're ready to do a proper install to do a proper install :^)

You could just create partitions with Vista right now, it has it built in.
