I've always had doctors say "wow, you've got a really low pulse rate" but they've never said it was bad. I was taking my BP earlier today (130/71), and I noticed my pulse rate was 51. How much would this affect my metabolism?
They would tell you if it were a problem. Normally when I go to a new doctor he'll say something like "Do you run or swim or anything" and when I tell him I do triathlon he normally says something to the effect that my pulse is ok then. If you're worried though, why do you just ask the doctor? They have more knowledge on the topic than I do
