Yes. Soda is VERY, very bad for you.

Pop, on the other hand, is quite a nice refreshment.

caffine is just fine, soda is considered bad only because its empty calories, much like other junk food. In other words, you could be consuming other food calories containing other nutrients instead. all things in moderation.

soda does not dehydrate you, thats an old wives tale. caffine is a dieretic, but only for those who never consume it, in other words you build up a resistence. think logically, you don't drink soda and h20 mysteriously dissapears:p

what makes diabetics is eating too much:p sugar is sugar, so eating rice and pasta will do you in as well:p

Logix, you maybe should read the myth-busting about Coke/soda HERE.

My favorite part was: "In many states the highway patrol carries two gallons of Coke in the truck to remove blood from the highway after a car accident."
Followed by this statement, which any cop will also laugh about: "The next time you're stopped by a highway patrolman, try asking him if he's ever cleaned blood stains off a highway with Coca-Cola. If you're lucky, by the time he stops laughing he'll have forgotten about the citation he was going to give you. "

Here is WebMD on Caffeine. I am posting this because I was curious and looked it up myself. I drink three Diet Cokes a day on average.
