Well. . .this requires a little bit of work too so if toasting the pbj is too much for you this might be too much also. However the payoff in tastiness per amount of extra work for what I am about to suggest far exceeds that of the tastiness per amount of extra work of making toast so maybe it's worth it:

Instead of jelly, take a banana and mash it up in marshmallow fluff with a fork then spread that on the sandwich with the pb instead of j.

In the industry that's called "fluffing the banana".

I know I've made a lot of references to signing away the animation rights to Mr. Banana Grabber this week, but...

I think I just threw up a little bit in my mouth.

I like Miracle Whip. <shrug> I have to have regular mayo for tomato sandwiches though. :)

its actually pretty good, add peanut butter too. but its much more work than a cheese sammich. that was one of the criteria, easily made.

grilled cheese > PBJ

Definitely better, but much more work.

george forman = simple enough that Cassius Clay can do it...

But you've got to butter both sides of the bread, then put the cheese in, then cook it!

To counter, you have to spread the peanutbutter and jelly on the sandwich. Well, you could just blob the jelly in the middle and squish it with the bread, that but shit don't work with the PB.

As for grilled cheese, there are two schools of thought in my household. My roommate uses the spray "I can't believe its not butter" for ease of use. Spray, throw, lay cheese, spray, throw next piece of bread, flip, wait.

I turn on heat, spread the butter on slice of bread, throw bread on what is now a hot pan. Place cheese on bread, then butter other slice of bread, put on top of cheese, flip. Throw away empty kraft wrapper/put away butter/bread and come back to a completed sandwich.

1. right hook
2. whip out a southpaw
3. wrap it up
4. profit

I see no downside here...

I don't like the idea of banana and miracle whip sandwiches, but tomato and miracle whip or tomato and mayo sandwiches are awesome.

Ugh. I ate PB&J's almost all through 4th-12th grade. Nearly every day for lunch. The mighty-tasty-power of PB&J has neutralized!

I would say that stovetop with one of those press things is the best as the bread stays nice and fuffly. Mine come out kind of smashed:eek: Frankly the taste of fluffy buttered bread is fantastic and I haven't achieved it with a GFG

Peanut butter and banana sandwiches rank just as tasty as PB&J, but they require a little more work to assemble.

spread regular butter on a piece of bread, sprinkle sugar on top of the butter spread, fold the bread in half and eat it. It taste soo good.
